I have been training dogs for 30 years in obedience/agility and Search and Rescue.  My dog team has worked all over the country and overseas to help close cases of missing people.

I began search and rescue after 9/11/2011  I certified my first dog in live find and water rescue and my second and third Springers in HRD. I   have two Masters in Criminology/Law Enforcement. I also received a Doctorate in Criminology specializing in Forensic Investigation of Children involved in Human Trafficking.  I was also a Deputy Coroner adjudicating over eight

Cate is a professional dog trainer with over 12 years of experience and has served in Search and Rescue as a K9 handler for the past 10 years. She works with certifed dogs across multiple disciplines, including human remains detection, trailing, and evidence recovery.

I have been in search and rescue for over 24 years and have had canines certified in trailing and HRD.  We have been all over the country teaching at seminars and certifying other teams.  My current K9 is HRD and has had many recoveries.

 I became familiar with HRD work in 2012 when a young lady went missing in Lafayette. I called JaNa Bickel and asked if she knew where I could buy a cadaver dog. She laughed and said Well if you could find one it would be very expensive and then you  would need to be trained. Jason Klingensmith is a canine handler/police officer. He is currently employed as a school resource lieutenant. He uses his certified canines as tools to educate students not only in the field of law enforcement, but also the many uses of canines in other professional fields.
